The past two years have been an unplanned experiment (involving 50 million people) in changing how we work; we are not returning to “business as usual”. Employers need to evolve operating models and workplace culture, and modern leaders and managers must understand the fundamentals of mortality salience, psychological safety, employee activism, trust-based leadership (as opposed to “command and control” leadership), inclusion, active listening and collaborative communication. A leader’s ability and willingness to adapt to the new workplace realities will define the success and health of an organization; conversely, a leader’s inability or unwillingness to adapt will cause employee attrition, legal risk and reputational harm. This session will lay out, using data-based social science, the radical changes occurring in the leadership landscape, will identify the key attributes of manager impact, and will enable you to catalyze your leaders with the knowledge and tools they will need to be successful.
